Love this, Amy! I have a well-established pattern of blaming (very natural) and I have been practicing and practicing taking ownership of my emotional state and my contribution in those moments. Moving out of blame is so empowering 💪🏼
Hi Ruthi! Yes, isn't it the MOST freeing, most eye-opening thing? I remember the poster at HOffman: I am 100% Responsible for My Life. The first time I saw it, I passed over it because I thought it was obvious. But as the week went by, I saw how profound it was.
For someone who comes from a habit of blame, taking radical responsibility felt counter-intuitive at first, even dangerous. But as soon as I do it, I see that this is where all the freedom is.
Here's to us, our courage, and practicing, practicing, and practicing!!
